what is clinical hypnotherapy?

Clinical Hypnotherapy is the use of an altered state of consciousness, Hypnosis, to bring about the desired change a client wants in their lives. A branch of psychotherapy termed 'brief therapy' which means, unlike traditional psychotherapy, it takes much fewer sessions to achieve results.

Our minds work on two levels – the conscious and the unconscious. We make decisions, think and act with our conscious mind. The unconscious mind controls our habits. In this relaxed altered state, known as Trance, we can communicate directly with the unconscious mind.  The Hypnotherapist utilises the power of positive suggestion to bring about subconscious change to our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Hypnosis is commonly used by sports people, public speakers, and corporate management for motivation and to achieve peak performance.

The process involves a mutual agreement between the client and Hypnotherapist to work together to bring about lasting positive change and improvement in the quality of the client's life.

Our most deeply held beliefs and what we think we are capable of are stored within the subconscious mind. It is these deeply held patterns and beliefs that drive our decisions and shape our lives. Hypnotherapy works to assist in redefining these patterns and beliefs that we must change when we desire to make a lasting, positive change in our lives.
